The 16th International Water Technology Conference, 7 MAY -10 MAY 2011. Istanbul, Turkey, is the sixteenth of a series events initiated by The International Water Technology Association, IWTA, on “Preserving the Environment by Improving Water Management Policies”, which is held every year. The conference will present the most recent technological and scientific developments associated with the water technology, environment, hydraulics, hydrology, ecology water resources and related sciences. The conference will be an opportunity to bring together scholars, scientists, experts and researchers confronting end users, managers, decision makers and stakeholders from universities, institutes, agencies and authorities all over the world. They will discuss and develop a general framework for minimizing and retarding the increasing deterioration in water quality. Issues of water quality, contamination, remediation, restoration, purification, treatment technologies, as well as other related topics, are essential to the future of the humanity welfare.

International Water Technology Conference
La prossima edizione della International Water Technology Conference (IWTC 15) coinvolgerà per la prima volta ricercatori CNR sia a livello organizzativo, sia in termini di contributo scientifico.
La conferenza, giunta alla sua quindicesima edizione, richiama ogni anno oltre duecento partecipanti da circa trenta nazioni, ed è aperta a tutti i ricercatori e tecnologi che operano a diversi livelli nel ciclo dell'acqua, con l'elevato grado di multidisciplinarietà che da anni la caratterizza.
In questa edizione particolare enfasi verrà data agli aspetti di "water security" rispetto ai cambiamenti climatici nell'area Mediterranea ed al rapido evolversi delle condizioni operative nel contesto medio-orientale.
